MCPI Guidelines for Application
We are a non-profit organization.
You will not be compensated for your time.
We are always seeking members who meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Age of 21
- Drug free lifestyle.
- No criminal record.
- Willing to dedicate a reasonable amount of time to investigations, research, and meetings on a regular basis.
- Is available year-round.
- Is able to promote and help book investigations for MCPI.
- Experienced in paranormal investigation OR related field (psychology, law enforcement, A/V, computers, private investigation, cinematography etc.) OR has no experience, but is willing to undergo an extended training period.
- Is within a reasonable driving distance of the McLennan County and surrounding areas.
- Is willing to devote time to special occasions such as possible ghost tours, fund-raising events etc. that may occur with out compensation.
- Only those that have a GENUINE and SERIOUS interest in paranormal research and are willing to devote the time to this field will be considered.
If you would like to be considered for membership in our organization, and you meet the above criteria, please feel free to complete the form below. You might be required tomeetin person to review your application with a lead investigator, and be interviewed should an opening be available.
MCPIis a DRUG-FREE, non-profit, scientific investigation and research organization comprised of dedicated volunteers who seek the truth, help others, and promote awareness of the paranormal with-in the community.
All applicants must agree to and follow all rules and regulations that have been set forth by MCPI. Failure to follow guidelines will result in dismissal from the group.
All applicants who are accepted into training must read, understand, agree to and sign the Membership Agreement formbelow.
Applicants who are selected for training must fulfill all MCPI training requirements before you will be considered for full membership.
Health and Safety Risks
We wish to ensure the safety and well being of our members and traineesSome investigations may take place outdoors in various terrains and some buildings and homes may pose hazards such as mold, dust, weak or rotting floors boards, and steep stairs. Some investigations may require long periods of sitting, standing or walking.We ask that you know your physical and health limitations; please do not attempt to perform any activity beyond your abilities.
Training Information
Compatibility with the group is an important factor in your training. If it is determined at anytime during the course of training that a trainee is incompatible with the group, that trainee will be dismissed with or without notice.The amount of time used to train will differ from trainee to trainee and will be determined by the team’s founders. Once all training requirements are complete, you will meet with group members who will conduct a membership interview and a training review will take place. Full membership acceptance will be voted on by all active members and membership status will be determined at that time.
Code of Conduct
All members must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times when representing MCPI.
Any illegal acts or behaviors that break local, state or federal law is prohibited while representing this group and will be a reason for dismissal.
All members must respect others personal property, this includes fellow investigators and clients property. Never touch, move or remove any item during an investigation that does not belong to you.
Any member caught stealing will immediately be terminated from the group and charges will be filed.
All members will be respectful to each other during all group functions. Never insult or criticize your fellow team members.
All members must respect and follow the leadership and guidance of group leaders, organizers and coordinators during all investigations.
Harassment or abuse of any type toward other members will not be tolerated.
Smoking during an investigation is prohibited unless in a designated smoking area during a break time.
The use and/or being under the influence of alcohol or any drug and/or substance are forbidden during any group activity.
Attendance Requirements
Regular attendance is an important aspect of membership. All members are expected to attend all types of group functions on a reasonable, regular basis.
Absenteeism or failure to show up for group functions three times in a six month period will result in dismissal from the group.
