COACHES: Please email your field event participants to Hannah.wenaas@jp2schools by Monday, May 8th. Please use the excel spread sheet attached to register your athletes for the field events.
****Each school brings their own tape measure and their own relay batons
FIELD EVENTS (Grades 5 – 6) 9:30 – 11:30
- SHOT PUT (3 throws – NO Finals)
- LONG JUMP (3 jumps – NO Finals)
- HIGH JUMP (Start 3’4”) (2” increases) (2 misses per height) Must leave on one foot
RUNNING EVENTS (Grade 4) Girls First – Boys Second 9:30 – 11:30
- 100 M Dash ***RULES FOR EVERYBODY***
- 4 X 200 M Relay - a person can be in 3 events only!
- 800 M Run - 7 entries per school
- 200 M Dash - 4 relay teams per school
- 400 M Dash - Separate divisions for 4-5-6 grade boys & girls
- 400 M Relay (6 total)
- Ribbons to 1st 6 places each division

- 4 X 200 M Relay - 5th girls 100 dash
- 800 M Run - 5th boys 100 dash
- 200 M Dash - 6th girls 100 dash
- 400 M Dash - 6th boys 100 dash
- 4 X 100 M Relay - 5th girls 800 run
- 5th boys 800 run
- 6th girls 800 run
- 6th boys 800 run
ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE. THE ENTIRE MEET MUST BE FINISHED BY 2:00 PM
SPECIAL RULES:
Long Jump:
Grades 4-5-6 use jumping area.
We will use a wide, clearly marked jumping area for takeoffs.
A scratch will occur only if person jumps outside of tape.
We will measure from the end for the tape (jumping area).
Shot Put:
6 lb. Shot for boys and girls.
COACHES:
We will use computer labels for all running events. Please prepare them in advance and make them neat and easy to read. Our results are only as good as the labels you supply. Include school and first and last name for all events. Relay teams must list team # plus all four last names for team.

BOYS AND GIRLS)
MAPELTON: HIGH JUMP
ENTRY FEE: $75 PER SCHOOL TO HELP WITH COST OF RIBBONS: RIBBONS DELIVERED BY MONDAY, MAY 22nd.
ADMISSIONS: ADULTS $3.00
