MINUTES

Attendees: Lisa Campbell (LC), Sally James (SJ), Donna Druce (DD), Sara Watson (SW), Rebecca Cordina (RC), Monica Ogborne (MO), Amanda May (AM), Leanne Gregory (LG), Lucy White (LW), Anna Gravelle (AG)

1. Welcome and introductions

LC welcomed attendees to the meeting and explained that we as we are a registered charity we are obliged to hold an AGM each year and submit minutes of the meeting along with our accounts to the Charities Commission.

2. Apologies for absence

Apologies were received from the following people:

Sarah Manning (SM), Nicola Carter (NC) and Suzi Ferguson (SF)

3. Minutes of last AGM

LC discussed key points from last year’s minutes

• Easyfundraising - this has been promoted in several newsletters

Playground marking - this had been completed

DD standing down as Treasurer

LC approved the minutes and SJ seconded them. LC signed the minutes.

5. Treasurer’s Report

DD talked through the accounts for the period April 2016 - March 2017 (attached)

MO asked whether we are likely to start the next financial year with a similar balance to that of last year (£23k). DD explained that that balance was leftover funds from the Three-Peaks Challenge which have now been spent.

LC explained that our usual operating expenses are around £4k. We have c. £3k in the current account and £2k in a reserve account (for emergencies only). LC added that in January, once the finances have been finalised we are likely to be able to offer the school c. £6k to spend.

LC also confirmed that funds for the art project have been ring-fenced.
