1. ASSESSMENT MEASURES EMPLOYED
The CONH has an Education Quality Improvement Plan (EQUIP) that is implemented by the Program Assessment Committee. Outcome measures used specific to the Graduate Program include:
·  graduate end-of-program evaluation
·  AACN EBI reports (American Association of Colleges of Nursing Education Benchmarking)
·  AACN Essentials of Doctoral Education in Nursing
·  ANA Standards for Professional Practice
·  Specialty organization standards
·  CCNE and NLNAC standards
·  Graduate outcomes
2. ASSESSMENT FINDINGS
List the objectives and outcomes assessed during the year, and briefly describe the findings for each.
·  Using EBI and EQIP data, the core courses of the FNP program were evaluated looking at quantitative data and common qualitative themes.
·  Program Assessment Committee chair presented a template for the revised graduate end-of-program evaluation and noted that there has been a decline in the number of returned evaluations. The committee identified the need to revisit core courses and develop a “crosswalk” with course content and skills. The committee also noted the need to have a good fit of the instructor to each course.
3. RESPONSE TO ASSESSMENT FINDINGS
List planned or actual changes (if any) to curriculum, teaching methods, facilities, or services that are in response to the assessment findings.
CONH graduate curricula are developed, implemented, and revised by faculty as appropriate. In general the CONH curricula are congruent with the program’s mission, goals, and expected student outcomes and reflect relevant professional nursing standards and guidelines. Some minor revisions:
·  Graduate program outcomes for the Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist track were reviewed. Curriculum/course content is being added to the course.
·  The committee reviewed the FNP graduate program evaluation questionnaire, since the content of the questions are similar for all tracks. Recommendations were to revise the program evaluation survey that is conducted of all graduates in their last term in the program:
·  Course number and names will have to be updated to reflect the change to semesters.
·  In line with semester transition lead faculty were identified for all courses (one or two for each course). These faculty were assigned to do content Mapping assignments. Crosswalks were pulled together. Analysis based on AACN Masters essentials found the programs had a strong presence of Essentials 1, 2, and 3. and have used key words to complete searches. 30 of the 48 courses have been completed
·  Pharm modification and Schedule II (K. Scordo)
Senate Bill 83 is requiring every advanced practice nurse to have a 6-hour pharm modification course. Course objectives 5, 10, and 13 were changed. This course could be used as part of the NUR 7115 course if program assistant directors feel it meets the objectives.
4. ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES FOR COMING YEAR
Briefly describe the learning outcomes to be assessed during the upcoming year and the measures that will be used to assess them.
Learning outcomes will be based on:
§  AACN Essentials of Master’s Education for Advanced Practice Nursing
§  QSEN and Interprofessional Education competencies had been integrated into the content mapping

5. UNIVERSITY LEARNING OUTCOME ASSESSMENT
As part of the HLC Academy project, each program of study will eventually assess two University Learning Outcomes in required courses in the major. One outcome will be assessed in 2014-15, and the second will be added in 2015-16. Identify the two ULOs that will be assessed and, if possible, the likely course(s) to be used.
Learning outcomes to focus on will include #3 and 7 below.

University Learning Outcomes: Wright State graduates from the Master’s in Nursing program will be able to:

1. communicate effectively

2. demonstrate mathematical literacy

3. evaluate arguments and evidence critically NUR 7005 Research and Evidence-based Practice

4. apply the methods of inquiry of the natural sciences, social sciences, and the arts and humanities
