Minutes for 5/24/2016 Meeting
Call to Order:
The Belmeade Board of Directors meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Leslie Edmonson
The meeting was held at: Belmeade Club House

Business from the Floor:
- Debbie McCrickard has resigned from the board. A motion was made and approved for Colleen Schnettler to become the new secretary.
- Billy Ballou resigned from the board. A motion was made and approved for Janet Baker to replace him and become a member at large.
- Leslie Edmonson was nominated and accepted the position as president of the board.

Treasurer’s Report:
Reported: Community is on track and on budget through the end of April
Unfinished Business:
- Action List
- See attached action list
- Speed Limit Sign: A 15mph sign was added to existing stop signs. Speeding in the neighborhood was also addressed in the newsletter.
- Hot water heater conversion is complete
- Drainage issue is ongoing. The HOA is looking into planting grasses this fall to help alleviate the problem
- Clubhouse has been cleaned
- Volunteers are needed to check lights on the fences
- Community survey for pet rule change needs to be discussed further
- FHA final update: Settlement has been reached and can be published. Leslie read the FHA settlement letter and the new rule.
New Business:
- Clubhouse furniture is old and worn: It was determined that the clubhouse furniture needs to be replaced.
- Crack and fill sealing on asphalt: There are holes forming in the cracks in the asphalt. This needs to be addressed. Discussion on whether or not we should seal the cracks. Cortney is working on getting 3 bids to seal the cracks. A motion was made and passed to get the bids.
- Treasurer Position: Monika is resigning as treasurer. The community needs to start a search for a replacement treasurer with financial experience.
- Belmeade now has a Facebook page.
- Community Inspections will be coming in May 2016
- Hardship policy for rentals: The board has an unofficial policy of not granting hardship rental requests on the basis of job or military relocation alone. Colleen would like to share this information with the community in the next newsletter.
- A motion was made and passed to deny the hardship request for 5205 Bathley Place.
Homeowners Forum:
- Question: How will the resealing impact budget? The treasurer was not present, but it was discussed that the budget is reviewed every year and a determination will be made.
- The issue was raised that the clubhouse does not have enough furniture to host events. The board is looking into replacing the furniture and will take this into account.
- Question: Who decided the neighborhood speed limit? The speed limit has been in place since the inception of the community.
- Request that the FHA information be shared. The information will be shared once finalized.
- Concern about grass behind clubhouse getting muddy while being mowed. Leslie will speak with the contractor regarding this issue.
- Question: Where can exterior paint colors be found? Paint colors are available on the website.
- Question: Who determines hardship requirements? The board makes the determination on a case-by-case basis.
- Question: Can the pet policy be changed? Yes, it properly voted per the Bylaws. The board is looking into getting a vote on this matter.
