Procedures for Application

Please allow plenty of time to ensure that steps 1-4 listed below are completed in time for all material to be postmarked by the scholarship deadline to:

All scholarship materials must be postmarked or delivered to the Foundation at the address above by the scholarship deadline.

  1. Complete a Scholarship Application Form.
  2. Copy of letter of acceptance to college or school.
  3. Request an official high school transcript and attach a copy to application.
  4. Two letters of recommendation (no family members and only one from a teacher, counselor or school administrator).

Health Service League of Albion Scholarship: This scholarship supports high school seniors residing in Albion, Homer, Concord or Springport seeking education in a non-administrative role in a health-related field. Examples of such careers include nurses, doctors, x-ray techs, etc.

Myrtle Irene Phillips Teaching Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to a high school senior or current post-secondary student residing in Albion Township or Sheridan Township who is pursuing post-secondary education for the purpose of becoming a school teacher.
