TELECOM & Management SudParis – Pamplin Summer Internships
Introduction
Virginia Tech has had an exchange agreement for many years with TELECOM &Management SudParis. A number of Management SudParis students have studied in the Virginia Tech MBA program during this time. Virginia Tech students have also attended the Management SudParis summer school program. The two schools have also developed dual-degree programs.
The TELECOM & Management SudParis Business Incubator is a structure that encourages the emergence of young Information Communication Technology (ICT) companies with excellent innovation, development and job creation potential. The Incubator draws on the skills of TELECOM & Management SudParis, as well as on the expertise provided by sponsors and partners. The Incubator combines business aspects via the support of expert entrepreneurs (who are both managers and technology specialists) and technological aspects with the support of the campus laboratories. As each new project is to some extent a gamble for the Incubator, the selection process is rigorous, with the service offered being adapted to the candidate's requirements and created using specialist advice. Via the Incubator, TELECOM & Management SudParis (ex-INT) and its partners are seeking to establish a long-term relationship with value-creating start-ups in a win-win perspective.
The Program
Increasing the number of Virginia Tech students in international internships is a goal of the Pamplin College of Business and Virginia Tech. Management SudParis offers a special opportunity for us. Management SudParis and Virginia Tech both have business incubators which are managed in similar ways. Start-up companies in both locations could benefit from the assistance of international students. The students can bring new ideas and perspectives to the firms.
A select group of Virginia Tech students will spend 8 weeks during May to July at Management Sud Paris. They will work for a start-up company in the business incubator at Management Sud Paris. Placements will try to match each student’s primary academic and business interests. Advanced undergraduate and MBA students should apply.
