Washington Trip: 8th grade parents that there will be a parent information meeting for the Washington DC Trip. Date: Thursday, September 22. Time: 6:00-7:00 pm. Location: Jewel Middle School – Cafeteria
Student Council applications are available outside the main office or from Mrs. Andrews in room 3104. Applications are due September 14. See Mrs. Andrews with any questions! (9/1-13)
Walking Club- Grab a friend and your favorite tunes and join the Walking Club with Mrs. English! Sign-Up weekly outside room 2205. We will be walking outside most of the time so be sure to dress for whatever the weather and wear appropriate shoes. Each week will have one morning walk from 7:30 to 8:00 and one afternoon walk from 3:45 to 4:30. We will start in room 2205 on Monday 9/19 at 3:45 and will also meet on Thursday 9/22 at 7:30 am.You may bring a light snack, water bottle,and your phone with earbuds to listen to music if you want to. This club is open to all students or staff and you can attend whatever sessions work for you. Limited to the first 30 participants for each session. Students are responsible for getting a ride at 4:30 or may stay until the activity bus comes. See Mrs. English in room 2205 with questions.
Soccer: 6th grade soccer, sorry for the delay!!6th grade soccer played Jefferson on Friday. They played hard but fell short of a win. Gabe Morales scored, assisted by Noah Evans. Noah also scored, assisted by HerietierRukumbuzi. Ioshua Roque made tough saves in goal as did Seth Head. Jorge Lagunas, Andrew Arreola, and Robert Ladeo also helped out in goal. Giselle Guerrero, Xochitl Galvan, Ivan Morales, Jesus Hernandez, Ramcy Zamorano, Nico Trujillo, Nancy Huerta,Aryan Marwaha, Colten Davis, Gilbert Cruz,Sulaiman Qazi, and IssacOrtiz helped out on offense. Ramcy, Xochitl, Nick Sieh, Emilio Jaime, Tommy Martin, Andrew Wong, Jack Hinkle, Netza Rodriguez, Cristal Gutierrez, Leo Rojas, Samantha Serrano, andRamiro Martinez helped on defense. We practice again Thursday and play at home against Washington on Friday! Let's play some tough D this week Huskies and bring home a win!! Go Huskies!!

Volleyball: Congratulations to the 7th grade volleyball team on their 2nd win this week! They defeated Plank last night. They were led by the consistent serving of Anna Nelson and Arelis Dominguez. The team put on a great display of teamwork and hustle. Great
Football: Come out for Thursday evening Football. PACK THE PIT! The Herget Huskies will be facing Aurora Christian at 4:30 here at home, and we would like you to come out and show your support. Students, Staff and Parents we would like you to wear any Herget gear you might have and show Aurora Christian our Husky Pride.
