- Last week DAOs and Exec discussed initiatives and how to go about it
- Ex-officios to serve on internal committees

- IBHE Sac this weekend – first meeting of the year
- Budget, veto session, transportation issues
- Code of Student Conduct review committee passed last week at Academic Senate
- Some administrators had reservations about it
- Many were very impressed
- Waiting of President Dietz’s signature then can begin staffing

- Anyone interested in Student Affairs – October 28th student affairs 101 at western Illinois Quad Cities
- Beginning project in Milner – shift in books from the basement
- Reduction in space on 5th and 6th floor
- No organized events around local sports team – no watch parties etc. organized by the university for a potential World Series Cubs game
- Encourage members to not be afraid to utilize money – we don’t need to be excessively thrifty
- In relation to Cook out with the Cops and Black Lives Matter Vigil – students should be comfortable having uncomfortable conversations
- If you want to promote/say/do something just ask where to start
- College is a marketplace of ideas

- Has been working on a flyer for raising awareness of saving money on textbooks
- Looking for a good design –reaching out for people to help with the design
- Secretary of Sustainability (D. Cichon)
- Last meeting last Tuesday
- Discussed different initiatives

- Working with college democrats to create petition for off campus recycling
- Almost 3,000 signatures already
- Ecology action center about how much this would cost
- Two options: public waste services, second option to sign a separate contract: 45$ a month with four or more and 50$ a month for less
- Discussions with IFC about implementation at Greek houses
- Will be meeting with town council members after the election, and will be meeting with realty companies

- Some police did not attend because some felt like it was “anti-police”
- Overall event went really well
- Today was solidarity day ending with a reflection on what has been happening in the past couple of years
- Next GA Monday October 31st, will be participating in trick-or-treat for change

- VP of Student Affairs has spoken on increasing Greek life in the coming years, this would be a step towards that
