We have just launched a new program (SINC) Seniors in networked communities which offers services for people who are aged 65yrs and over and are living in their own home

The program provides support to people who are ageing which will allow them to stay in their own homes

Counselling at very reduced prices are now only a few weeks away.

Ability Links is a free service to link people with disabilities and their families and carers with their local communities. Links act as a first contact and support, aiming for a person to become more independent in their social participation.

Also work with community groups & businesses to help them with accessibility.

No selection criteria, aimed at ages 9-64 yrs

Neighbour Aid has been doing well with some new clients enjoying social outings along with our regulars

We have now included programs at the McDermott Centre as well as outings and of course our new holidays

A group of 10 people travelled to Shoalhaven Heads for a 3 night holiday that was accompanied perfect weather, I have been approached about booking another Cruise for the New Year so will be looking into that soon

Leisure Link is as always well attended and have been receiving new referrals regularly the three day holiday was well received and booked out quickly so another has been booked for late October into early November

Carer Wellbeing Group – Held the second Tuesday of the month –Time away from the caring role with others who understand your circumstances.

Can provide respite, emotional support, recreational activities, case management

MHRCS can attend the carers home, work with carers, consumer and/or family and friends.

Eligibility- Carer must be supporting an individual with a mental illness and live in the Goulburn Mulwaree or Upper Lachlan Shire.

The community visitors scheme has been expanded to include participants who are receiving home care packages in addition to residents of Aged Care Facilities

The Community visitors scheme matches participants with a local Red Cross volunteer for regular social visits

Currently we are low on volunteer numbers in Goulburn & are in process of trying to build our volunteer base.
