Tuesdays and Thursdays

  • Early morning conducted tour of the Roma Saleyards, Australia’s largest cattle selling centre.

Roma town tour taking in:

  • the 3D Heritage Mural in the Roma Cultural Centre
  • Avenue of Heroes with its bottle trees, and see the Grandaddy of all bottle trees that has a 9.13m girth
  • Stroll the wonderful Adungadoo Pathway along Bungil Creek taking in magnificent ancient river gums and Lenroy Slab Hut
  • See the historical Roma Courthouse where the infamous Captain Starlight went to trial
  • Visit the Hospital Hill site of the 1908 gas fire that burnt for 45 days.

Tour St Paul’s Anglican Church with its stunning leadlight and stained glass windows and historical pipe organ purchased in 1927.

Lunch at the Big Rig Café and self-guided tour of the Roma Big Rig Oil Patch

Tour of the Mount Abundance Homestead (week-ends only)

El Dorado Farm Tour and Mitchell

A morning visit and guided tour of El Dorado, a working cattle station.

  • Meet the family’s horses and pet bullock.
  • Enjoy the garden and a light lunch can be arranged on the homestead verandah

Return to Roma and then travel west along the Warrego Highway to Muckadilla to visit the Whistle Stop which houses local memorabilia

Continue through Amby to Mitchell and the Great Artesian Spa.
