The first visit for new members is free.
Fees are due on the first visit to the club.
REGISTRATIONPlayers who were members in the previous year can join again up to the end of September this year. Players who have been members in previous years and new members can join again after the end of September up to the limit of membership. If necessary the club executive will maintain a waiting list of players wishing to join to ensure correct sequence. The club executive retains the right to approve or revoke membership of all players by majority vote.
EQUIPMENTThe club has 9 tables at theMississauga Chinese Presbyterian Churchat Fallingbrook. Members must bring their own bats and balls. Running shoes must be worn. Proper table tennis attire is dark, solid colour clothing. Members may buy tournament quality balls for use at the club at a competitive price, and club shirts are blue with the gold Rattler logo.
ACTIVITIESPractice is rotated to encourage balanced matches with graduated standard of play. Practice may be limited to 30 minutes and controlled using a scheduling board if attendance is heavy. The Mississauga Table Tennis League runs from the end of October to April and club members can join one of the teams at the beginning of the season. Winter and Spring Tournaments for club members are included in member's fees.
A banquet will be organized at the end of the season at a reasonable extra cost.
CHURCH RULES No smoking is allowed. No food and drinks(except water) may be consumed in the church. We are permitted access to the gym, the storage room, the men’s and ladies changing rooms and washrooms, the adjacent hallways and the telephone. There is always a caretaker in the school or the church who is responsible for unlocking the rooms we use and for security. Play must stop by 9:45 pm and all members must be out at 10:00 pm.
GENERALMembers are expected to help in setting up and removing the tables, nets and dividers, etc. We are responsible for keeping the space we use tidy, so please put litter in the containers provided. The church is used by other groups and members are advised not to leave money or other valuables unattended.
