Parker Youth Sports and Double Angel Foundation are in search of responsible, enthusiastic and hard working team players to staff the concession stands at ChallengerPark and Double Angel Ballpark for the 2008 outdoor sports seasons.
General Job Description:
Concession employees sell food items to patrons at the parks whenever there are games, acting as a representative of both organizations and raising money for these worthwhile non-profits in Parker. Workers will be under the direction of the Concession Stand Supervisor, but will often work unsupervised, depending on estimated park attendance. Concession stands are open March through October. No experience necessary and training will be provided.
General Procedures:
- Schedule work days with Supervisor.
- If you are unable to work, you are responsible for letting the Supervisor know in advance.
- Arrive at work 10 minutes early to set up for business – contact Supervisor to let her know the stand is open/operating
- Complete opening and closing checklists – if scheduled to open or close the stand
- Wear supplied concession uniform whenever on duty
- Maintain a clean, professional and inviting concession stand area, representing both Double Angel Foundation and Parker Youth Sports
- Enthusiastically market product to sell as much as possible
- Be accurate and honest with all financial transactions
- Prepare for “rushes” following games – organization and a “system” will be key
- Continually clean throughout work period
- Troubleshoot any issues at the park – calling appropriate DA/PYS staff as necessary
- Note any inventory shortages for Supervisor
- At end of shift, count money and put in provided envelopes. Track hours as instructed.
- Follow all rules and procedures – contact Supervisor for any questions
Salary-$7.50 per hour. When the parks close due to inclement weather, workers will not be paid, even if scheduled. No benefits. Double Angel Foundation will pay for hours worked at Double Angel Ballpark, and Parker Youth Sports will pay for hours worked at Challenger. Paychecks will be issued by each organization twice a month.
Requirements-transportation to and from the ballparks, cell phone, computer and email availability, professional manner, and a desire to serve the public and work hard for a good cause. Applicants must be at least 14 years old to apply. A non-paid training with the Supervisor will need to occur before being scheduled to work.
