CEWED

(Seaweed or Current Events WEDnesday)

Every Wednesday (as possible), we will have CEWED for 10 minutes at the end of class. CEWED stands for Current Events WEDnesday. Science is always changing and new inventions and discoveries happen daily. It is important for scientists to know about these events. As scientists, we will keep up with science news. Every student will present at least once.

Your job:

1.  Sign up for a presentation day.

2.  Find an article about a recent science event (new inventions, animals, agriculture, space, genetics, discoveries, etc.). The article must be from 2011 or more current.

3.  Read the article and fill out the sheet.

4.  Present on your CEWED day and turn in article and worksheet.

If you are gone on your presentation day, you will present the next day you are in class.

Chose an article from a reliable news source, some examples are:

The Star Tribune http://www.startribune.com/

Pioneer Press http://www.twincities.com/mld/pioneerpress/
