Nominee Criteria

The recipient must be:

  • A member of Alpine Saskatchewan
  • Nominated by his or her club head coach, alpine executive committee or Provincial Sport Organization
  • Minimum CSIA Level 1or CSCF Level 1 and a member in good standing
  • Working with Alpine SaskatchewanNancy Greene registered participants.

Suggested Rationale

The following is the suggested rationale for the nominee for this award. The weighting will vary considerably depending on what level the instructor is working at.

  • Participants report that they are having FUN and want to come back to the program.
  • Shows exceptional participant skill development and progression.
  • Moves participants up to a higher program level within the system.
  • Innovation
  • Implements new ideas that work better.
  • Encourages methods to develop a competitive edge for interested participants.
  • Leadership
  • Are a role model to participants and other instructors, leading by example.
  • Facilitates the integration of a variety of resources that lead to better individual participant performance and/or overall program progress.
  • Recruitment
  • Shows evidence that the program is growing in numbers under his/her direction.
  • Shows evidence that the feeder system to the program is healthy and serious attention has been paid to developing younger participants to fill the gap as older ones move up.
  • Retention
  • Shows evidence that participants are coming back year after year.
  • Ethical Conduct
  • Shows evidence of conduct that brings credit to the profession of alpine ski instructor, the sport, their club or program and/or participants involved.
  • Conducts themselves according to the Alpine Coaching Code of Ethics.
