Local Non-Profits Take Their Fundraising to New Heights!
Athens, GA (Month, Day, Year) – Ready to unleash your inner super hero while helping underserved children in our community? Then make plans to join Over the Edge and three local non-profits for a first-ever “Going Over the Edge for Kids” community wide event, to be held at SPARC on West Broad Street on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. About fifty brave souls are already scheduled to rappel down the SPARC building, having raised a minimum of $1,000 in donations for one of three non-profit partners. If scaling tall buildings is more of a spectator sport for you, consider cheering your friends on as they make their descent or contributing to their personal fund raising goals.
Nancy Travis Childcare Project, Children First, and Interfaith Hospitality Network have joined forces to raise awareness and funds to support children and their families in your community. To find out more, to register, or to support an “Edger”, check out www.overtheedgecwe.com/athens. Participants must raise a minimum of $1,000 each to rappel on event day, and many have set higher fund raising goals.
