Artistic License Disclaimer:

Every cake our designer makes is hand-made. Decorative finishes are done by hand and are subject to the artistic interpretation of our expert cake designer. You may provide us with a photograph for inspiration and similar duplication; however, we make no claims for exact duplication of the work done by other cake designers and our cake designer will not copy an exact design. Our cake designer will NOT copy a design that is not her own original work. Cake designer reserves the right to make changes to the design if needed to enhance the design (within reason and still using the client’s original color request). Once cake is delivered by team and approved by either bride, groom, wedding coordinator or other family member, or picked up by client, client may not request a refund or request changes made to cake at a later time. NO refunds will be given after the above stated.

Reservations:

We require a 50% deposit when reserving your wedding cake. Party cakes must be paid in full unless they are over $650. If you are using a special gift voucher or receiving discounted pricing at more than 50%, we require you to pay for your cake in full. Cake tastings are $50 each but free for orders over $350.00. Our minimum order is for 25 people but if you need something smaller (a smash cake for example) please email us your request. Promotional vouchers cannot be combined with any current specials or promotions online. Groupon cakes are custom buttercream creations and if you want something more elaborate, there will be an upcharge based on labor. Our cake designer books months in advance so please order your cake in advance of the party date.

Changes to order:

Changes may be made to wedding cake flavors, serving counts, and design until 15 days before your wedding or party date. At that time, everything must be finalized, no changes to serving count, flavors or design after the 15 day point.

FYI:

Each cake is custom made and our cake designer won’t copy a design, however, the designer will come close to the design of your choice unless you give her permission to customize your cake, in which the designer will make the final decisions on how the cake should/will look. You can pick whatever colors and shapes you want. Color schemes will be used by our cake designer based upon your requests. Please be specific if you want a certain color shade. Ex. Tiffany Blue, not light blue. A picture of your completed cake will always be emailed or texted to you for approval. If you do not like the custom cake at that time, changes will be made within reason of your purchase price or you will receive your money back. If you approve and pick up the cake, no refunds will be given after that. For tiered cakes over 3-tiers, please do now allow the cake to sit for more than an hour after it’s delivered to the party location. Tiered cakes are delicate and if they sit for more than several hours, the cake will become soft and the foundation of the cake will be compromised. We guarantee your cake will be delivered and in perfect condition, but once the team leaves, you are fully responsible for the cake.

If you pick up your cake, do not put the cake in the trunk of your car, as it will become soft because of heat. Put the cake in the fridge until 30 minutes before your event. Leaving your cake out overnight will soften the icing and fondant, and compromise the foundation. If the cake is inside the car, leave the AC on. Do your best to get the cake home and into the fridge so it maintains its original shape.

For wedding cakes: you will receive an email regarding delivery updates. The driver will always arrive within the scheduled time frame (2 hour blocks of time). Please have your reception cake table ready and set up. If the driver arrives and nothing is set up, the cake will be given to either the manager or wedding coordinator at the reception site. The delivery driver is not responsible for what happens to the cake after they leave the reception site.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations to cake orders are accepted until 30 days prior to scheduled pick up time. No refunds will be provided for orders that are cancelled with less than 30days notice. Clients can request a Kitchen Credit for the full price of what they paid on the cake, minus costs of their cake supplies. All cancellation refunds are subject to a 25% fee: Ritzy Cakes will retain 25% of the price of the cake to cover costs incurred to initiate your order. Groupon orders will be credited based on what the client paid on the voucher only. If you receive a picture of your cake approving it, and then pick up your cake, you will not receive a refund later on.

Cup-Cake Stands, Cake Stands and rented plastic accessories MUST be returned within 3 business days, customer agrees to pay full replacement cost if these accessories are not returned on time or damaged. Customer must deposit for stand(s) before they are delivered or picked up.

Tiered Cake serving sizes are based on industry standard: Wedding 1 inch x 1 inch, all other 2 inches x 2 inches.

Groupon:

We offer special discounts for the individual on a budget. For Groupon offers, we have 3 different values: $49 for a 1-tiered buttercream cake, $99 for a 2-tiered buttercream cake and $249 for a 3-tiered wedding buttercream cake. All three offers include once flavor of cake and filling, colors of your choice, 2d designs and 1-2 sugar or fresh flowers per tier. Ribbons and bows are also included. We want to create a beautiful centerpiece for you but items like fondant, cake toppers, sugar flowers, “flying” butterflies, sugar high heels, fondant butterflies and feathers are an upcharge.
