Happy New Year! As theNew Year begins, it's time to start thinking about taxes again. We hope 2015 has been a happy and prosperous year for you and your families.

Tax Organizer -Attached is a 2015 Tax Organizerwhich is required for us to have on file to complete your 2015 tax return(s). The reason for all this additional paperwork is that the IRS is putting more stringent requirements for tax documentation to be collected by all tax preparers.We are asking you to please fill it out in advance and bring it to your scheduled appointment. If you are dropping your taxes off to be prepared, please also fill this form out in advance and include it with your tax documents. We know the form may seem a little overwhelming, but the form will actually help you to know which documents we need to prepare your taxes as well as minimize the potential for missed items and a delay in completing your tax return.It mayalso help you find additional deductions. You may want to refer to your 2014 tax return folder to help you complete the form.

Health Care Coverage Statement-We are also still required to document your insurance coverage this year for the year 2015. You will eventually be receiving forms 1095-A (Marketplace) 1095-B OR1095C from your employers. You may not yet have received the 1095-B and 1095-C since the government has given companies an extension date ofMarch 31st.to mail out these forms. If you have not yet received one of these forms, please fill out the attached healthcare form to document you have full year health coverage for yourself and all dependents.Please bring it to your appointment or include it with the documents you are dropping off or mailing in. If you only had coverage for part of the year, we will contact you for additional information.

Engagement Letter-We are also required to have you sign a client engagement letter before we prepare your taxes. This letter details the responsibilities of both Carteret Financial and our clients in preparation for your tax return.You will find this letter in this same email attachment. Please sign it and bring it to your appointment or include it with the documents you are dropping off or mailing in.

We are also asking if everyone could please open your envelopes and take out your tax documents in advance of your appointment or dropping off or mailing your documents. This would be very helpful and we would like to thank you in advance.

As always, we are happy to be working with all of you once again. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have to make these new procedures easier for everyone involved. Refer to page 2 of this letter for a few quick tips and a checklist so you will know what to do with each form that is attached to this mail.

A Few Quick Tips

1. If you have a rental property (schedule E), you can refer to our websiteat and download an itemized Schedule E sheet to help you fill out your deductions and rental income.

2. If you have your own business (schedule C) you can refer to our website at and download an itemized Schedule C worksheet.

3. Your prescription amounts can be obtained with a document from your local pharmacy. You do not need to keep individual RX receipts.

1. Client letter- This letter is extremely important for you to read. It explains some changes we are responsible

for in the preparation of your 2015 income tax return.

2. Engagement Letter- It is mandatory that you must read and sign this before we can prepare your taxes.

4. Health Care Coverage Statement- We will need this form filled out if you do not provide us with a 1095-A
