Work Experience
PNT Engineer - PreTalen3/17-Present
As a Position, Navigation, and Timing engineer, I have become the subject matter expert for inertial systems and sensors at PreTalen. My responsibilities include:
- BOM Creation and hardware selection: micro-controllers, CPUs,sensors, batteries
- Programming to read sensors and GPS and implement algorithms: Python and C
- Designing and 3D Printing enclosures to weatherize units
Process Engineer - Intel3/16-3/17
As a process engineer and tool-owner in the high-volume manufacture of computer chips, I was responsible for keeping production running at full capacity.Within months, I became the primary point of contact for a fleet of lithography machines processing approximately $1.2B worth of product weekly.
Engineer - Gas Transmission Systems8/14-3/16
Gas Transmission Systems (GTS) is a leader in providing engineering consulting related to natural gas pipelines. I engaged in the design of a 4-mile hydrotest. I automated processes to perform preliminary data validation showing tests and upcoming work for over 1,300 miles of flagged pipe. I also led a team of 5 to review over 2000 leak forms.
Research Assistant - Magnetic Shape Memory Alloys1/12-5/14
Magnetic Shape Memory Alloys (MSMAs) are a new class of smart material with applications as actuators, sensors, and power-harvesters.
I adopted the responsibility of Chief Modeler to predict the response of the MSMA to a magneto-mechanical loading in 3-dimensions. I produced several peer-reviewed journal articles and several conference papers.
