Wait Pool Policy

Open Arms’ goal is to provide developmentally appropriate care and education to each individual child. To achieve this, we believe that each age group (infants, wobblers, toddlers, pre-school, kindergarten, School-age) should have a balance of boys and girls (if possible). The process of our wait list is as follows:

When your application is received, you will be added to our waiting list.

As an opening occurs, we consider

  • The date of the application
  • Age and gender of your child (to maintain a balance in the classrooms)
  • You will be contacted when a space is available.

You will have 24 hrs to respond to our call.

If we do not receive a response, we assume you no longer need our services and will be taken off the list.

If you decide to decline our services, we will also take you off the list.

We will make contact every month, by email;

We have many children of all ages on our waitlist and cannot predict a wait time or entry date for your child.

We will contact YOU via email as soon as a space becomes available to begin the enrollment process for your child.

Open Arms Board of Directorsrequires both registration fee and two weeks paid tuition when you accept a space in our program.

If you rely on a subsidy program to pay any part of your tuition, you must still pay the amount.

You are responsible for the entire cost of enrollment until we receive an official, certified copy of the agency making the subsidy payment and/or has given it’s authorization to a specific monthly amount.

PLEASE NOTE: Open Arms does transport morning kindergarten students to public schools. We do not pick up in the middle of the day, NOR do we provide care in the morning for children who attend afternoon kindergarten. Open Arms does transport afternoon kindergarten children back to Open Arms.
