Engineers Without Borders Members-

A new application for the Winter Break 2007 El Salvador Trip is now available. Travelers will be spending December 7th to December 24th traveling or in El Salvador.

We are tentatively seeking up to two additional people for the Winter 2007 traveling team.

The final decision to add these positions will be made based on feedback from the community in El Salvador and the EWB-OSU Board of Directors.

This trip will focus on the construction and implementation of our project in addition to a continued assessment of community needs.

These travelers need to meet the following criteria:

1) A current passport.

2) Fluency or very high Spanish proficiency.

3) Construction management or similar leadership experience.

4) Practical experience in adult education. Specifically, working with low-literacy communities.

5) An understanding of basic engineering concepts.

6) A commitment to work with EWB in the future.

If selected, you must be able to commit to eight hours/month of volunteering with Engineers Without Borders from now until Winter Break 2007. You are also expected to actively plan and participate in skill-building workshops to prepare for travel.

Please return your completed application to Douglas Van Bossuyt in ROG 222 by 4:30pm on Monday, October 29th.

Best of luck,
