AGENDA ITEM NO.10CAPITAL PROJECTS 2015 / 16 TO 2018 / 19

The Capital Projects report provides details of the capital project bids that have been put forward to form part of the 2015 / 16 to 2018 / 19 capital programme. Members have been asked to prioritise the capital bids in preparation for consideration in the annual budget report in January 2015.

The prioritisation is on the following basis:

  • High priority (H): plays an integral part in enabling the Council to achieve its objectives (either through enabling services to go forward or providing income to support services) or has a big impact of the project is not taken forward;
  • Medium priority (M): assists the Council in maintaining the status quo;
  • Low priority (L): the link to Council objectives is limited or the project has minimal impact if not taken forward.

For Members’ information, Officers have reviewed and prioritised the 2015 / 16 capital projects as detailed in the following table:

* Subject to a suitable business case being submitted to the Director of Resources in consultation with the Chairman of Finance and Corporate Services. The business case will need to demonstrate the recovery of costs over a realistic period.

Planning and Licensing Committee (13 November 2014)

The Planning and Licensing Committee at its meeting on 13 November 2014 considered the prioritisation of Officers and agreed with all except the priority for Project 219 - Riverside Park Information Boards & Signage identifying this as high priority.

The Planning and Licensing Committee has therefore recommended to this Committee that the following be included as part of the prioritisation of the 2015 / 16 capital projects:
