Re: Request to Locally Administer Capital Projects exceeding $4 Million in State Capital Appropriations per Ohio Revised Code § 3345.50

Dear Mr. Fingerhut:

This letter constitutes our request to the Board of Regents to locally administer capital projects exceeding $4 million in state capital appropriations as authorized by Section 3345.50 of the Revised Code.

The institution has complied with the requirements of Section 3345.50 of the Revised Code and Section 3333-1-24 of the Administrative Code as follows:

1.  The institution Board of Trustees passed a resolution on [date] stating its intent to comply with the guidelines established in accordance with Section 153.16 of the Revised Code (Board resolution attached).

2.  The institution submits the following information to the Board of Regents (forms attached):

a.  The name and credentials of the individual serving as the “Institutional Designee” for both ongoing and new capital projects.

b.  The names of the staff for both ongoing and new capital projects.

c.  Evidence of the institution’s previous project management experience. This includes a list of locally administered projects, the total budget and square footage (if applicable) for each project, the project schedule and administration team, and the current status of the project including any pending claims.

d.  A listing of projects for which local administration authority is requested.

This letter fulfills the requirements as set forth in Section 3345.50 of the Revised Code and constitutes the institutions rquest to locally administer the capital facility projects noted above that exceeds $4 million in state capital appropriations.
