@WeLDNurses Development Opportunity

Hi!

@WeLDNurses was established in 2012 to support the RCN Position Statement on Learning Disability Nursing and the introduction of Strengthening the Commitment.

Over the intervening two years, we have led and facilitated two weekly chats, enabling learning disability nurses to reflect on their own practice and challenge that of others. We’ve been invited to speak at regional, national and international conference, written for publication and offered mentorship and support those wishing to develop and hone their abilities in 21st century networking, to enable person centred nursing practice, up holding the rights of people with learning disabilities across the world.

We have some exciting plans to develop @WeLDNurses as a not for profit business offered consultancy relating to learning disability nursing, social media and the development of practice leadership.

Within these plans we are eager to develop Learning Disability Nursing leadership, by offering this development opportunity. This role will involve web editing, facilitating chats, and monthly virtual meetings. What we will be able to offer you is a leading stake in a growing community, an opportunity to develop your networks internationally and mentorship/critical companionship through your professional and personal development.

Below is a set of role activities, the person specification and the application form.

This is a developmental role, so if you do not fulfil the person spec, no worries.

This is currently a time limited role until you qualify.

The deadline for responses is 7th February 2015, application forms must be sent to . If you’d like to ask us about this opportunity you can tweet us at @weldnurses, send us a direct message, and we are willing to set up times to discuss it by phone.
