*Note:
(a) The place of destination must be a holding which is registered with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
(b) Where a transport operation involves several places of destination, each group of birds originating in the same premises which are unloaded at that destination constitute a consignment.
(c) Each consignment must be accompanied by a separate health certificate.
(d) The birds must be transported without delay to destination without coming in to contact with birds other than game birds which satisfy conditions (b) and (c) above.
(e) Where a consignment is divided up after arrival at a destination, the consignee (importer) has responsibility for:
i. checking that the health certificate is present
ii. notifying the District Veterinary Office of any irregularity
iii. isolating the birds until a decision regarding the birds has been taken in the case of an irregularity
iv. keeping a record of deliveries and subsequent destination of the birds and
v. keeping these records for 3 years.
