1.CQR Overview

Chi-Ming Chen, Chair, briefly explained the CQR Charter, background, and other activities including CQR Chairman’s Awards.

Chi-Ming also explained the process of TC Re-certification.

2.CQPRM Symposium in ICCs and GLOBECOMs

Chi-Ming briefly explained the plans and Chairman’s of CQPRM Symposium in ICCs and GLOBECOMs. The paper statistics was also explained.

3.1 CQR 2010

A)Chi-Ming explained the schedule of 2010 CQR Workshop. The General program Co-Chairs are James Runyon(Alcatel-Lucent) and Martin Guldberg (Verizon Wireless).The Technical Program Chair is Professor YutakaIshibashi (Nagoya Institute of Tech.) and Professor Shinji Sugawara (Nagoya Institute of Tech) will support him. The locationwill be The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver, Canada from June8 to 10, 2010. Registration fee covers reception dinner, social event, banquet, and hotel room (three nights).

B)The scope of the workshop was presented on the slide. In addition to quality and reliability of service, network, and product/system, telecommunications of Olympic Games is prepared as a special theme. Topics for technical program and TPC members were also shown.

C)The paper submission deadline will be January 12 2010. Notification of acceptance will be mailed to authors on March 15, 2010, and the deadline for camera-ready paper is April 12, 2010.

3.2 CQR 2011

Domenico Ficara explained the proposal of CQR 2011 in Pisa, Italy.

4.Others

(1) KarlRauscher explained the report of ROGUCCI Global Summit held in October 2009.

(2) Chi-Ming explained CQR Priority Workshop on September 2008 on Slovakia.

(3) Chi-Ming explained other issues including Membership upgrade, IEEE Distinguished Lectures, Standards, Publication, Conference sponsorship endorsement, and 2009 Election for CQR officers (2010-2011).

(4) Chi-Ming closed the meeting
