Check fire extinguishers for correct type, serviceability and proper location.
Check First Aid / Physician Kits for required number , proper seals, valid certification and proper location.
Check Portable Oxygen bottles/ masks for serviceability status, required number and proper location.
Check Megaphones for required number, serviceability and proper location.
Check exits including emergency exits for placarding, controls and seal condition.
Check Evacuation Slides for general condition and gauge indication.
Check Life jackets for adequate number, proper location and random check of general condition.
Check Life Rafts for proper location and general condition including lynyards.
Check Electric torch for required number, proper location and serviceability.
Check lavatory smoke detection, alarm and extinguish system for serviceability.
Check Passenger Oxygen Service Units (PSUs) for operational status, service pins etc.
Check Floor Escape Path lighting/ Emergency Exit lighting for serviceability.
CABIN EQUIPMENT
Check cabin crew seats/ harnesses for general condition including retract mechanism and inertial locks.
Check Passenger Safety Briefing Cards for required information and availability on each seat.
Check passenger seats including seat belts and tray tables for general condition and serviceability with emphasis on seats at Emergency exits for non extending type.
Check lavatory "NO SMOKING" sign / decals for general condition including trash containers.
Check intercom and PA system for serviceability.
AIRCRAFT GALLEY
Check the condition and serviceability of the followings:
Storage compartments and restraints including latch mechanism.
Stationary cart tie down.
Lower deck equipment (if applicable)
Elevators/ lifts (if applicable).
CABIN CREW KNOWLEDGE
Currency of last refresher/ flight safety course.
Required personal equipment including cabin safety manual.
Emergency equipment handling and use.
Emergency procedures such as emergency exit, brace for impact, decompression drill, cabin fire, unruly passenger handling, emergency communication with cockpit etc.
Knowledge and proficiency in First aid.
Knowledge in dangerous goods.
PASSENGER BRIEFING - DEPARTURE
Required information.
Life jacket demonstration.
Emergency exit instructions.
Oxygen demonstration.
No Smoking/ Exit/ Seat belt signs/ consumption of alcohol.
Use of seat belts.
Clarity of PA system announcements.
Use of video (if provided).
Stowage of cabin baggage.
Passengers seated near emergency exit.
CABIN CREW - INFLIGHT
Closing of doors in coordination with cockpit instructions.
Arming/ disarming of evacuation slides at door stations.
Occupation of designated seats prior to take-off/ landing.
Use of safety harness.
Cabin security/ reporting to cockpit.
Conformation of passenger seat belt fastening - pre-take-off/ pre-landing.
Actions during turbulence in flight.
RESTRAINTS - FLIGHT
Servicing carts/ galley equipment
Use of child restraint devices.
Monitoring safety belt donning by passengers at cockpit instructions.
Occupation of designated seat/ donning safety harness inflight during turbulence and other emergencies on instructions of cockpit.
CABIN CREW CO-ORDINATION - INFLIGHT
Response to flight deck calls.
Monitor seat belt/ No smoking signs.
Cabin occurance/ difficulties.
Handling emergencies.
Arm/ disarm evacuation slides.
Intra cabin co-ordination.
OTHER
Compliance with operating regulations and rules such as cockpit entry etc.
Compliance with operator's policy/ procedures.
Cabin log book entries for proper recording/ authentication by PIC.
Handling of handicapped passengers.
