Reading Comprehension: read the following letter and answer the questions.

Dear Kate,

thanks for your letter and for the photo of you and your family. And thanks for the answers to all my questions in my first letter, too! What’s your dog’s name? I have a dog, too. His name’s Riley.

You want to know about what I eat and when? Well, for breakfast, I’m different from many British people because I always have a big breakfast. I love bacon and eggs with toast and marmalade; a glass of orange juice and a cup of tea. You know, many British people don’t have breakfast at all or they only drink a cup of coffee or tea.

At lunch time, I have a sandwich and a glass of milk at school, in the cafeteria. We only have about 30 minutes for lunch so I can’t go home. Mum sometimes prepares a sandwich and biscuits at home, and I take them to school with me; then I eat them in the cafeteria.

Dinner is always at home with Mum, Dad and my sister and brother. We eat at about six o’clock because my father comes home at 5.30 p.m.. When my mother has time, she cooks a big dinner: meat, vegetables, potatoes and a dessert, cake or pie or ice-cream. We drink milk or water with dinner. Mum and Dad have a cup of coffee.

When she hasn’t got much time we have pre-cooked dishes, or we eat at a fast food restaurant or buy some food at a take-away restaurant. There are a lot of those restaurants in the town where I live.

Oh, and Mum always has a cup of tea and cakes or biscuits ready in the afternoon at about 5 o’clock. I love that!
