JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Table Games Pit Boss
Reports to: Table Games Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary: Oversees the operations of an assigned gaming area in compliance with Tonkawa Gaming Commission rules. Promotes and maintains the utmost integrity and high quality customer service to all patrons and employees.
Essential Duties:
· Supervises and verifies the operation and conduct of designated game areas.
· Ensures games are dealt to the customer reflecting a high degree of proficiency and efficiency.
· Supervises table game dealers and provides training to ensure proper procedure of casino rules and regulations.
· Understands and complies with all Company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
· Maintains bank floats.
· Reports significant cash transactions to the Table Games Manager/Supervisor and/or the Shift Manager to maintain Title 31 awareness.
· Tracks essential play and relays all pertinent information to immediate supervisor.
· Acts as role model and motivates subordinates to provide superior level of customer service to the guests.
· Handles guests concerns quickly and efficiently within scope of authority.
· Verbally informs Table Games Manager, Shift Manager, as well as Surveillance of unnatural or irregular play.
· Informs Table Games Manager and Shift Manager of any disputes on games.
· Knows and abides by established policies and procedures.
· Communicates daily activity to oncoming shifts in order to ensure a smooth transition of shifts.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
· One year of dealing experience required, this may be substituted for six months dealing and six months supervisory experience.
· Pit boss experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Well-developed interpersonal skills.
· Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
· Must enjoy entertaining and communicating with the public.
· Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
· Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
· Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
· Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and current/potential clients.
· Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.
· Thorough knowledge of table games policies and procedures.
