SPIP Programme Facilitator

Main Purpose of Job:
- To facilitate group sessions with parents who have separated or are in the process of separating/divorcing by utilising the ‘Separated Parents Information Programme’.
- To facilitate attendee number limited sessions either in small/large groups or on a 1: basis
- To support the Senior Facilitator working closely with the Business Support Coordinatorsto ensure that referrals have been booked onto the courses and attendees have received follow up calls prior to course date
- To support area liaison with Admin hub regarding non attendance and follow up as required with attendees
- To ensure any relevant paperwork is completed by the participants and support is given for online evaluation completions
- To ensure the prompt return of any relevant documents to the central admin office.
- To complete any expense claims promptly.
- To report any concerns regarding safeguarding and follow set procedures
- To comply with the health and safety / fire safety policies and procedures applicable to each of the venues utilised and where necessary undertake relevant risk assessments
- Spurgeons exists to respond to the needs of individuals and responsibilities are therefore unpredictable and varied. It is expected, therefore, that all staff will work in a flexible manner and will undertake all reasonable tasks not specifically included in the job description.
- To complete paperwork associated with the above sessions and support the completion of monitoring / statistical returns
- To ensure any relevant paperwork is completed by the participants and to support them in doing so if necessary.
- To take part in follow-up evaluation exercises of the programme and it’s achievements
- To undertake relevant training as required and attend standardisation meetings
- To attend one to one and group supervision meetings and team meetings, as required.

- Facilitate completion of engagement and end of intervention baseline questionnaires/action plans
- Report safeguarding incidents according to timescales
- Record all sessions and any incidents requiring follow up to required quality and timescales
- Customer satisfaction feedback received to be rated “good” or better
- Evidence of engagement and positive change identified through the contract KPI’s
- Ensure successful engagement and contact with identified individuals
- Attend and participate in team meetings, professional meetings and constructively challenge where necessary for positive change to take place and for safeguarding to be paramount
Providing Excellent Services
- To provide the parenting programme to parents whohave been identified and referred or self referred.
- To use a range of approaches to effectively engage with parents
- To ensure that the policies, procedures and practice for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children are implemented effectively within Spurgeons and relevant Local Safeguarding Children Board policies and procedures.
- To work flexibly and deliver services across the Spurgeons as directed.
- Be accountable for and review own practice using supervision and other opportunities for professional development.
- To provide support as required to colleagues (internally and partner agencies) to ensure contract KPI targets are achieved.
- To ensure prompt, clear and factual case management and evidence collection of interventions
- Follow contractually agreed case management procedures, including recording and reporting, involving other agencies, colleagues and line managers where appropriate.
- To implement processes and quality systems to ensure that all services operate within Spurgeons monitoring processes so that data is collected and analysed to enable effective decision making to improve performance and deliver better outcomes.

Job Advertisement – Separated Parents Information Programme Facilitator
Spurgeons are recruiting additional engaging facilitators for the Separated Parents Information Programme (SPIP) in the following areas: Birmingham, The Black Country, Sussex, Brighton, Worthing, Eastbourne and Chichester.
You will have a proven track record of delivering training to adults and will possess a PTLL or Level 3 Adult Education and Training qualification or be prepared to work towards one within 3 months. You will be working with a diverse group of individuals and must possess the following:
- Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures
- Experience of working with challenging / hard to engage client groups.
- Experience of presenting information to groups.
- Experience of running manualised programmes
You must demonstrate empathy and compassionate and be hopeful for the course participants.
CAFCASS have commissioned Spurgeons to run this programme for adults who have separated from their partners and where they have children.
