What is the PROMS Group?
This is a company that you run that has been brought in because it is the “global guru”when it comes to dealing with ocean pollution.You will spend the next few daysresearching an issue of ocean pollution and recommending the actions the government should take as a solution.
Aims of task:
1.Investigate ocean pollution in a country from the list below.
2.Make suggestions for dealing with the pollution in this country.
3.Develop writing skills, think critically and problem solve.
4.Tracking and providing evidence of your research.

Hypothetical Scenario
As an international group known for your ability to come up with creative solutions to clean oceans and then keep them clean, you have been asked by one of the countries below to help deal with ocean pollution in their waters. You must first investigate and explain the pollution problem they are facing, then you must make some recommendations on potential plans to follow. You will then have to choose what you think is the best solution and explain why. It will be important to think about both the cause and the clean-up of the pollution.

Marking Criteria
Your papers will be assessed against the following criteria:
1)Introduction: Does the background section identify the key facts,
issues, problems and debates highlighted in by the questions from the checklist? Does the discussion demonstrate a sound understanding of the topic?
2)Options for consideration: Are the options that are identified plausible? Is the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each option well-informed and plausible?
3)Recommendation: Is the recommended option well justified?
4)
Written expression: Are key points concise (“to the point”)? Does the discussion avoid “waffling”? Is the brief clearly presented and communicated (grammar, spelling, structure, logical ordering)?
5)Have you created a well-formatted APA bibliography that is made up of a varied and reliable list of resources?
