Pediatric Occupational Therapy, LLC
Seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school based occupational therapy in Northern Bergen County, New Jersey. The successful candidate will be licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey.
Proposed Scope of Work
1. He or she works in collaboration with the supervising occupational therapist to treat children with a variety of disabilities within the public school setting.2. Therapy sessions can be conducted individually or within a small group according to the student’s IEP.
3. The COTA may complete daily written logs and contribute to quarterly progress notes and annual IEP reports (verbally and/or written) under the supervision of a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist.
4. Ongoing supervision (both direct and indirect) between the COTA and OTR is offered.
5. The Occupational Therapist will co-sign the COTA’s documents.
6. The COTA is responsible for maintaining current licensure in accordance with federal and state laws.
7. Ability to collaborate with teachers and other service providers in designing and effectively implementing the IEP.
8. The ability to share work space and material with other professionals.
9. Not to exceed 30 hours/week
