Dates for the Diary

Meet and Greet Open Morningfor prospective families to Goostrey Community Primary School will be on Friday 2nd October at 9.30 am, in the Sunshine Room (Infant side near village hall). This is an informal meeting where the Headteacher, Miss Atkins, will welcome families

who are considering a place there, for individual tours of the school.

You can book one at this meeting or email / ring school to arrange one.

News

We are very pleased to welcome Emma Bedford to the Pre-School as a member of our team. Emma has been working as a Nanny and, therefore, knows a lot of the children already.

There are also changes to our committee too. We are pleased to welcome Katherine Kettlewell, Lisa Hargreaves, Angela Puddle and Claire Moran and we sadly say goodbye to Tracey Goodwin who has served on the Pre-School committee for over 10 years, Rachael Machin, Erica Ashbrook and Sarah Jones

Goostrey Pre-School is a charity run organisation.Our Parent run Committee works hard to organise many fundraising events throughout the year so that we can provide new equipment and resources for the children. We are looking for new parents to join our committee so that we can go on providing those essential items in the future. We meet once every half term in the evening. If you would like to know more or would like to get involved, please speak to any of the current committee members

Match Funding

If you or your friends/family work for an organisation that operates match funding for events/activities then we would be so grateful if you could look into this for us to help the Pre-School.

Fundraising

Thank you, again, to all parents and families for your support over the last academic year. We really do rely and appreciate parent’s help and support with our big fundraisers like the Spring Lunch, Easter Party, Fashion/Beauty product evenings, Roseday and the Pub Quiz. We had agreat fundraising year last year and we look forward to another great year this year. We will be organising a fundraising event before Christmas. Watch this space for more details.

We are always open to new ideas for fundraising activities. If you have any ideas or were thinking of doing a sponsored event, please let us know.

This is an internet based site through which you can access major high street and internet retailers for your shopping. Everytime you make a purchase, the retailers donate a small amount to Pre-School. We would be grateful if you could look into using this if you are an avid internet shopper. Please tell friends and family too.
