Class Description Menu
A.B.C. Bodyworks: Abs Butts (‘n balls) Cardio:Mary Tiedtke takes you thru a phenomenalworkout with 1/3 of the class focusing on your Abs, 1/3 of the class on your Butt, 1/3 of the class on your heart/lungs: Cardio!! She will use bands, tubing balls,& dumbbells. Mary is your “class coach”… You’ll have a ball!!
Barre This is the rave in the fitness world right now. Instructor: Heather Webb underwent an extensive 200 hrs of training with founder Carrie Tyler. This popular class focusses on perfecting your posture, flattening your stomach via core work & using ballet bars. Fun, focused workout. You’ll clear your mind (like yoga) while you work your body. Not to be missed!!
Body Training: Let Laurie Barron (past winner of Best Instructor Award) take you thru a real taste of it all. It’s on Friday mornings… come in anytime…class starts at 8:30, but come when you can (8:45, 9, 9:15…whatever fits your schedule). It’s 75 minutes of awesome coaching and training in the aerobic room. Laurie gets you to try plyometrics, cardio, strength, stretch, etc. She changes it weekly to keep it interesting, always fun, & a challenge at your own pace..
Bootcamp: Mary Tiedtke (Mon am) will lead you on a high energy workout with cardio & strength moves using weights, tubing, & dynabands. A challenge for all levels. Let Mary motivate you to become all you were meant to be!!

“Easy Does It” Wateraerobics Amy Webb (Tue) and dynamite Roe Blanchard (Thur) will take you thru safe, effective water moves usingwonderful music to keep a smile on everyone’s face!! For land “easy does it” classes, see the “Stretch’n Strength 101” below
Lengthen & Lift International Fitness Professionals Association (2013) stated: “recent research proves combining strengthening exercises with immediate stretching exercises dramatically increases fat loss (by approx. 33%)” in a study by Dr Wayne Westcott. You’ll leave feeling great after this 45 minworkout!!
Live Out Loud:Laurie Barron takes you thru a cathartic mind-body experience, working every muscle. This class is as much for clearing the mind as it is for the physical body. She targets muscles mixes in cardio moves, challenging your body, building intense internal energy. She guides you to a meditative stretch deep breathwork at the end allowing you to fully release/calm. You'll leave feeling reconnected, invigorated, & clear-minded.
Muscleworks:wow! This non-aerobic workout is truly a workout. Tone & strengthen your body. You use rubber tubing, dumbbells & all kinds of “toys” to tone up. If you’re new to working out feel a bit timid ….this is a great place to start as you can get comfy being in a group setting in our Aerobic Room. Great to add to your weekly workout for some crosstraining. You set the intensity. It is challenging, yet you can stop & take a break any time (without such being noticed )
P 90 X Instructor Paul Keough brings you through a total body fitness program that uses a combination of resistance, cardio, core and stability and mobility work to get you extreme results. Based on the concept of “muscle confusion” which means it evolves over time to ensure your muscles keep adapting and you avoid the “plateau effect” and keep getting results. Can be modified to lessen any impact or don’t want to go full intensity. All levels. All ages. Coed. Fun.
Power HourFull body conditioning...a little tabata, some boxing, some step with weight intervals...great music& your motivating instructor Terry Gordon. You’llget results! Burn calories, strengthen legs, arms, back and abs. She'll make you feel comfy in the room introducing you to cool ways to work your body.
Spinning: Don’t be afraid to try it if you’re new to this great rage in exercising as YOU adjust the level on the bike (& no one sees what level you pick….so not intimidating or competitive.). This popular class isonly $2.99/class or $19.99 for 9 classesfor members (non-members $12/class). You canpay/reserve a bike ahead of time, too so you can plan your workout for the week. You can just show up pay when you arrive, but we suggest you DO make the reservations.
StepUsing a step platform, you will step up, down & move all around your step. The step height can be adjusted to increase your intensity level by adding 1-2 platforms on each side of it. You are taught a basic move and your instructor will keep adding moves on – fun! You can enter the room having never taken this before and your instructor will teach the class the add-on pattern as you go. Not a moment is wasted learning steps.Fun! Super workout!
Stretch’nStrength’n Cardio 101:An “easy does it” version. Much loved Mary Tiedtke will take you thru an hour of gentle cardio (aerobic) exercises & strength exercises.All to music, they will work on gentle moves & stretching. We’ve all been reading about the remarkable benefits of stretching . They also work on light aerobic activity & light strengthening. Fun time!!
Wateraerobics:A super workout…. only 10% of your body’s weight impacts the pool floor. Our classes are done to great music (mostly top 40’s, remakes of oldies) Moving in the water has 12 times the resistance as out of water….Burn (450-600/hour!!) The water is 3’-5’….so you don’t need to be a swimmer.Great for strengthening and toning your body. Results!! All levels. Move at your own pace. We have a great stereo system piped in to pool area.No one sees what you do if you blunder as your body is submerged from the bottom rib down! We recommend watershoes or watersocks for traction. A triathlete can workout next to a senior and ALL reap benefits. We’ve had record breaking weight losses in our classes!! (regular sneakers are not allowed - sorry).
Waterbelt Workout:Did you know: walking 30 mins in thigh deep water is equivalent to walking out on land for 2 hrs!Just imagine the workout with a waterbelt not touching bottom! Absolutely NO impact so great for anyone w/ bad knees, shin splints, injuries not conducive to impact/pounding.To music!
Yoga:.Yoga balances you: mentally and physically….great posture, muscle balance, peace of mind. You’ll be much better able to focus. It keeps you less stressed, thus less likely to get distracted w/ poor eating habits. Webb’s offers the 5 yoga classes on reverse in BOLD PLUS Webb’s members can buy a 10 class Yoga Room pass. The Yoga Room is the Adirondack looking building out behind club & is owned by Heather Webb. There are many types of yoga offered there: Restorative yoga:Restorative yoga provides healing for the body and mind. It is especially useful when you need to eliminate stress. It can also help recover from illness/injury or overcome depression/anxiety that are caused by traumatic events such as divorce, loss of job and death of a beloved
ZumbaA cool new workout....fun, dancing (but you don't need dance experience)....fun, latin beat, top 40’s. Your heart will pound and you'll laugh your way through these fun moves!! Easy to follow, great on the heart!! (& body!!) We have the BEST Zumba anywhere right here at Webb’s!!!!
