"A stroll along the river": the new travelling exhibition promoted by APPA and CSJ

"A stroll along the river" is the new travelling exhibition on the landscape and waters of the River Sarca, organised by the Provincial Agency for Environmental Protection in Trento, together with the Centro Studi Judicaria in Tione, Trento. On Thursday 14 August 2008 at 21.15, in the picturesque setting of Villino Campi at Riva del Garda, there will be presentation of a theatrical event "Fluidamente" (fluidly).

The temporary exhibition "A stroll along the river" offers different experiences in order raise awareness of the river ecosystem, increasing knowledge of the landscape, combining memories and contemporary aspects.
The three characteristic segments of the River Sarca are presented; there is also a part dedicated to the power stations, with the relative channelling system. The section on the springs and gorge finds an ideal setting at the prestigious venue of the ancient springs of Comano thermal baths, high up above the river, whereas the section dedicated to the mouth of the river is presented at Villino Campi near Riva del Garda, just a few metres from the lake.

The exhibition is divided into around twenty curious parts, including the acoustic shower, crystallised movement, the water sommelier, interview with the river, good conduct, the voices of memory and the flavours of the land. The exhibits allow a multidisciplinary and multisensory interpretation, involving the visitor in a story made up of tactile, evocative, auditory and gustatory experiences. Each object offers a different view of the close relation between natural phenomena and human activities. The landscape, a heritage to be conserved and handed over to future generations, emerges as a possible protagonist in the life of each of us.

The exhibition, which will be open from 16 May to 31 October at Villino Campi at Riva del Garda and the ancient springs of Comano thermal baths, is directed at tourists, schools and residents and offers an educational and play area for young children
