Scenario
As part as your role as an assistant sports coach you have been employed as a Performance Consultant for a team. Your aim is to observe the performance of a sport to produce a scout’s report which gives a detailed account of the strengths and weaknesses of the sport. You will present your findings and the methods by which the sport could improve in the future to the manager, coaching staff and athletes in the form of a written report.
GRADING CRITERIA
In order to achieve the grading criteria you must show that you are able to:
2C.P6 / Independently produce an observation checklist that can be used effectively to review own performance in two selected sports.
2C.P7 / Review own performance in two selected sports, describing strengths and areas for improvement.
2C.M3 / Explain strengths and areas for improvement in two selected sports, recommending activities to improve own performance.
2C.D2 / Analyse strengths and areas for improvement in two selected sports, justifying recommended activities to improve own performance.
