Directions for submitting FY17Literacy and Humanities grantapplication materials to ESE
- You must first contact your District Network Administrator[1] to gain access to the Literacy and Humanities Grants Drop Box located within the Security portal. This box will not show up in Drop Box Central until you have been granted access. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that at least TWO STAFF MEMBERS from your district have access to this box.
- Upload the FY16 application to the ESE Security Portal. The destination folder is entitled Literacy and Humanities Grants, located in Drop Box Central.
- Login to the ESE Security Portal at
- Click on ESE Application List
- Select Drop Box Central
- Scroll to the Drop Box entitled Literacy and Humanities Grants and click Next
- Select the name of your district/organization (if more than one district is visible) and click Next
- You are now in the Literacy and Humanities Grants Drop Box, where you can upload your grant application using the directions at the top of the page.
Important:
Prior to uploading the workbook to the Security Portal you must rename the fileusing the following format:
FISCAL YEAR-DISTRICT NAME-FUND CODE FILE TYPE-DATE
(ex: FY2016-ATTLEBORO-574Budget-AUG15) or (ex: FY2016-ATTLEBORO-574Narrative-AUG15)
Note: The Drop Box will only accept filenames with the extensions .xls, .xlsx, .doc, .docx, .xlsm - Mac users must save the file with the .xlsm file extension.
- When the file is uploaded, a message will tell you if your upload was successful. You will also see the file appear under Literacy and Humanities Grants \District Name\ESE Inbox along with the date and time of transmittal. The Department will be notified via email that a file has been uploaded and is ready for review.
- Click Logout to exit the Security Portal.
- The signed Cover Page with ORIGINAL signature of the Superintendent/Executive Director must be submitted in hard copy to:

- Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you (or the person listed as the grant contact) will receive an email with your approval amount and additional information regarding your grant.
