Summative Assignment Options
1)Double Journal Entry
- Fold a piece of paper in half, lengthwise.
- On the left-hand side, write or photocopy a passage from the text that made a strong impression on you both for its writing style and for the content.

- Based on the idea you think this found poem captures, title the poem.
- In one paragraph, explain what this poem means.
3)Interview Questions
- Choose someone from the text. Create 5 questions you would ask this person if given the opportunity to interview them.
- After each question, provide an explanation of why you want to ask this question.
4)Purpose of the Text Essay
- What was the author’s purpose in writing this text? What was he hoping readers would get out of it? Write a two paragraph essay fully explaining two things (one in each paragraph) people can learn from this text.
