1．Format (heading in Gothic, 10pt)

The length is limited to one page. Two page preprints are allowed for lectures more than 20 minutes..

Body text in Roman, 10 pt. The manuscript should be typed in two columns. The spacing between the columns should be 6 mm. The top and bottom margins should be 23 mm and the left and right margins should be 19 mm. The standard number of lines on a page is 49. Reasonable modification of the format is allowed.

Leave a white box of 31 mm in width and 21 mm in height at the left top of the margin border. This space will be used for paper ID label. In case of the keynote lectures, the body text can start from the first line on the second page.

The list of authors should be flushed right. Each author data should be in the style ‘(Short affiliation name)(Membership type)Name’. The Membership type should be as follows:

‘Ful’full membership (including honorary full membership),

‘Cor’ corporate membership,

‘Stu’ student membership,

‘Div’ divisional membership,

‘Int’ international membership (incl. international student membership and international concord membership), and

‘Aff’ affiliate institute membership.

It is needless to write ‘Oth’ for educational membership, nonmember and individual member of the overseas societies. Place a circle or asterisk symbol ahead of the speaker's name. The corresponding author should be marked with a superscript asterisk *.

The speaker should be an SCEJ full member (incl. honorary member), student member, educator member, international full/student/concord member, employee of special, charter or local charter members, individual member of co-organizing academic societies and/or institutes, invited speaker or overseas societies listed on the web site.

The footnote with an asterisk should be placed on the right bottom and describe the contact information of the corresponding author such as the E-mail address.

2．PDF file preparation

A manuscript PDF file should be no larger than 1229 KB (kilobytes).

PDF version: 1.4 (Acrobat 5.X) created by Adobe Acrobat is preferred. Other versions may lead to unexpected change in layout.

No security settings on the PDF files are allowed.

Embed the fonts in the PDF file for reproducing the exact output.

3．Artwork preparation

The text and drawings can be in color. However, even if the colors are used, the paper version will be printed in black and white. High resolution suitable for print is required. However, be careful about the file size.

4．Submission and correction

The acknowledgement number and password shown in the acknowledgement e-mail is necessary for uploading the PDF file. The PDF file can be overwritten by uploading a revised version any times by the deadline. No submission and revision are allowed after the deadline of the manuscript submission.

5．Exception to lack of novelty of invention

Ask the SCEJ Head Office if you need a document for Japanese Patent Act Article 30 Item 2.
