To be pasted in the front of your field notebook

1. Always “gear up” appropriately

a. Sturdy close-toed shoes

b. Pants

c. Long-sleeved shirt or weather-appropriate outer wear

d. Hat

e. Sunscreen

f. Water bottle

g. Field notebook

h. Writing utensil

2. Field rules will be followed

a. Stay within sight of the teacher or field aide

b. Treat the land with respect

i. If you brought it in, you take it out

ii. No unnecessary destruction of the landscape

iii. Do not remove anything natural unless directed to

iv. Only collect a plant if there are at least 20 others in the surrounding area

v. Leave the area better than you found it

c. Treat each other with respect

i. Horseplay will result in instant banishment to the bus

ii. Work cooperatively to get the job done

iii. Only supportive and helpful comments

d. No electronic devices unless prior approval by the teacher
