Popular winter resort opens for summer activities

COMOX VALLEY, VANCOUVER ISLAND – Mount Washington elevates sightseeing to new levels as the resort kicks off another summer season with scenic chair rides, festivals, events and the reopening of the Bike Park. Mount Washington has been named one ofCanada's most magnificent views, so many locals like to show off the scene from the top of the mountain to family and friends visiting from out of town.

“The view from the top of the mountain is second to none,” explained Don Sharpe, Director of Business Operations. “And, we have lots of things to do, so it’s easy to spend the afternoon in the Alpine.”

The resort is now open for Mile High Scenic Chairlift Rides and Ted’s Summer Grill is open longer hours every day. Mile High Scenic Chairlift Rides are not only visually spectacular; they're comfortable, safe and affordable. Rides to the top of the mountain in the Eagle Chair are $19 per person and only $14 for seniors aged 65 and up. Kids 5 and younger are free.
