Reports to the Senior Vice President / Chief Financial Officer. Collaborates with other members of the management team to help manage the Human Resources (HR) function. This function works in assisting with, and updating policies and procedures covering employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recruiting and retention, and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. This is a part time position requiring up to, but not exceeding 16 hours per week.Key Accountabilities
HR Responsibilities:
-In coordination with the Management team in, recruiting, interviewing, and conducting new hire orientation process.-Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals and compensation surveys and reports.
-Assist with and maintain records for the safety programs.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Education and Experience
BA/BS in personnel management, public administration, psychology, or education or equivalent experiencePHR or SPHR preferred.
Experience in public, private or non-profit personnel management
Working knowledge of personnel laws pertaining to, but not limited to hiring, termination, employment discrimination, affirmative action, unemployment, FMLA as it pertains to UWPC and sexual harassment.
Experience making effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to employee groups, management at all levels of the company and occasionally to the Board and outside organizations.
Experience working with outside benefit representatives and other vendors to assure benefits are in place.

This part-time position will require on average 8 to 10 hours per week.
The hourly rate will be negotiated based on skill set and qualifications.
This position will be open until filled.
