2015 Fall Conference Scholarship Request

Chuck Bayles Scholarship Fund

VAEYC is able to provide $50 scholarships to individuals for the 2015 Fall Conference through the Chuck Bayles Scholarship Fund in an effort to make registration fees more affordable.

Funding comes from the conference drawing proceeds and from presenters who donate back their stipends to the scholarship fund.

Priority for scholarship awards will be given to VAEYC members and to those demonstrating need:

  • financial need, or
  • a professional development need related to an unmet Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP) goal/objective that the conference can help to meet

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR APPROVED SCHOLARSHIP AWARD PRIOR TO REGISTERING for the CONFERENCE.

If you have already registered, we cannot apply any scholarship funds awarded.

Scholarship requests will be processed weekly, beginning the week the brochure is published. Scholarship money will be awarded on a revolving basis for applications received through September 28th. The scholarship program closes on September 28thor when the fund is depleted, whichever comes first. All recipients will be notified by email.

These scholarships are intended to help individuals attend the conference, not provide support to entire center staffs. There is an Accredited Program discount of 10% applied to registrations of staff at NAFCC and NAEYC Accredited Programs. If your center intends to have your full staff submit scholarship requests, please contact Kim Buxton: to discuss this prior to completing your scholarship request forms.
