Greater DFW FCA Sports & Leadership Camp

FCA Camp will be an unforgettable time full of sport development, resources, training, spiritual growth and fun! Come together as ONE in your pursuit for Christ and learn new athletic skills, improve your game, motivate and organize your Huddle without burning out, encourage others and grow in your personal relationships. We believe you will be full of confidence and inspiration after attending this Camp!

Here you will find the answers to questions you may have concerning camp, so please take time and read through all of the information. Checking In

Check-In is Tuesday, June 20th and located at Crowley Dorm on the DBU campus from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The program officially begins with the Opening Games at 4:00 p.m.

The following items listed below are needed to complete your registration:

·  Funds for Remaining Balance (If applicable). Please contact the FCA Office at 214.739.8003 to make your payment.

·  Parent Electronic/Online Signature of the FCA/DBU Terms and Conditions Form. If you need to print the form, you can find it here: http://www.dfwfca.org/sports-leadership-1

·  Medication Slip Form and proper dispensing containers (Very important if applicable).

·  As a CAMPER, you receive a camp T-shirt, lanyard and Bible.

Camper Registration Fees

All unpaid fees are due before check-in at Camp. Cancellations are 100% refundable before Monday, June 12th. There are no refunds available after Monday, June 12th. Any eligible fees will be refunded within 6 weeks of the camp.

Insurance

FCA will only provide secondary insurance coverage for the camper during the stay at Camp. In case of injury or illness, campers will need to provide proof of insurance coverage at the time of treatment. A photocopy of your insurance card will be sufficient. Campers not covered by family insurance will be cared for.

What to Wear and Bring

Modest attire is required at all times during Camp. Such attire excludes clothing with drug, alcohol or sexually suggestive messages; cut-off t-shirts, inappropriately short shorts and tank tops showing undergarments. Keep your clothing and equipment simple; bring athletic shoes and equipment that you will need for competitions and clinics. Bring your own personal gear such as personal toiletries, water bottle, bug spray and sun block, and small backpack. A notebook and pen or pencil will be needed for the Team Meetings. Swimming facilities will not be available at this camp.

Do not bring jewelry or other expensive electronic items such as CD, iPods or MP3 players. We are not responsible for the safe-keeping of these items. Students are discouraged from bringing cell phones. Remember, if you decide to bring a phone, you are responsible for their safe keeping and you will not be allowed to use them during program times. Pets are not allowed. You should also bring your own bedding (sleeping bag or sheets/blanket), pillow, pillowcase, towels, washcloths, soap, personal toiletries and an alarm clock.** Students will need/want to being their own plastic water bottle or tumbler. With the temperatures being so hot, we want to make sure all students have water at all times!

Meals

The first Camp meal is Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. Any meals prior to Tuesday’s dinner are the responsibility of the camper. Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner Wednesday and Thursday and end with breakfast on Friday.

Fees

FCA Product Store

We will have an FCA product store with items for sale such as t-shirts, caps, & water bottles. Items range from $5-$20. Bring some spending money!

There are two easy, direct routes to the University campus.

·  From Dallas, take I-30 west to Loop 12 South to Spur 408 Patriot Parkway. Turn right on Kiest Boulevard, and you will see the school atop the second hill on your right.

·  From Fort Worth, take I-20 east to Mountain Creek Parkway. Exit Mountain Creek Parkway, then turn left heading north on Mountain Creek Parkway. Cross Kiest Boulevard and enter the campus from the west. The first building you will see is the Tom and Alicia Landry Welcome Center.

Departing Camp

Camp officially ends at 11:00 a.m., after the Team Chapel on Friday, June 23rd. Plan to pick up your camper at the check-in location (Crowley Hall) after 11:00 a.m.
