President Donald Trump The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear Mr. President,

I am writing to you during your first one hundred days of your being elected by whatever form, into the highest governmental office held in the United States, and I am watching. I am watching, along hundreds of millions of other concerned citizens of these United States, male and female, of all ages, of all genders, of all races, of all colors, of all interests, of all religions, of all talents, of all skills, of different opinions, of different needs and wants, all that makes us this great nation that we are, but of one concern – that is; the welfare of our nation as a country in this world – one world, and the welfare of myself as an individual within that country, and my loved ones.

Your concerns are not always my concerns; my concerns are clearly not yours based on your words, your facts, or your mistruths; your welfare at the end of your stay in office will undoubtedly be much different than mine or my loved ones, however; I want you to know I will be watching, I will be speaking up, standing up, waking up, and doing my job as a hard working free citizen of these United States to make sure our value of life or environment doesn’t decrease during your temporary residence in the White House; I will be working to the best of my ability to make sure others’ value of life that is so cherished is not decreased, either.

Because of you, I will be waking up, standing up, and speaking up – I will be more engaging with my state and federal representatives. It’s my job. They are working for me, but it’s my job to know how they are doing, and what they are doing.

Because of you, I will be attending Town Hall Meetings in the district and region where I reside. It’s my job, but you or anyone will not pay me as a ‘professional attendee’. I will go on my own free will.

Because of you, I will donate more of my hard earned money to associations, foundations, and the like, that protect people who can’t speak up for themselves, who fight for freedom, who battle daily for

medical assistance and better health, Planned Parenthood, the Arts in our schools and communities, improving our public educational system to the best of my ability, and more. It’s my job.

Because of you, I have already become, and will continue to become more active and more interested in the unprecedented levels of ongoing civic engagements and events. It’s my job.

Because of you, as a person, a teacher, a parent, I am becoming more vigilant each day that you continue to hold the highest office in this nation to be kinder, to be more respectful, to refrain from bullying, namecalling, accusations before fact checking, and learning how you and your staff try to deflect the truth or add fear to our nation, and educating myself. It’s my job.

I strongly hold you accountable that you do the same.

Because of you, I am waking up, standing up, and speaking up.

I am proud to be an American; I am fortunate and grateful to be one among many people in this great nation.

We are watching, we are involved, and we hold you accountable.

Respectfully,

Elizabeth
