Sharecroppers were provided land and materials by the landowners on credit creating a huge amounts of debt to be subtract from potential earnings. This made it nearly impossible for them to make any profit. However, tenant farmers often owned equipment or farm animals allowing them a greater possibility of making some profit

Named after a castle in France and a line of French Kings- triumvirate means “ruling body of three”. 3 Georgia Leaders -Brown, Colquitt, Gordon. Shared same political beliefs; dominated politics. They wanted to keep “old southern traditions” including white supremacy.
