PINCHBECK PARISH COUNCIL
INSPECTION OF CEMETERY, MEMORIAL, STOCKSGLEBE FIELD
A Parish Council was held of the Inspection of the Cemetery, Memorial,Stocks and Glebe Field congregating in the Pinchbeck Cemetery on Monday 19th September 2016 commencing at the Cemetery at 6.30 p.m.

1. APOLOGIES for absence were tendered on behalf of Coun. R. Dobbs, Coun. M. Chappell, Coun. Mrs. E. Beavis, Coun. A. Bowser and Coun. D. Houghton
2. DECLARATION OF INTEREST
None were registered
3. CLERK’S ANNUAL REPORT:
The annual burial report was circulated and it was therefore agreed that this be accepted on the proposition of Coun. J. Avery and seconded by Coun. Mrs. S. Sneath
4. INSPECTION OF CEMETERY:
The cemetery was found to be in a fairly neat and tidy state with the following maintenance work to be instigated:
- All trees to be trimmed to about 7’ height on the south boundary.
- Trees to the front boundary to be trimmed down to 7’ in height
- Clerk to organise hooks on the side of the cemetery shed to store watering cans.
The subject of a new burial ground was discussed and it was agreed that this matter to be discussed at forthcoming Parish Council meeting as an agenda item.
5. INSPECTION OF STOCKS
It was agreed that the clerk would inspect the stocks to check to see if any maintenance is required to the woodwork and to the metal railings.
6. INSPECTION OF MEMORIAL GROUND
Upon inspection it was evident that a number of trees required to be trimmed or pollarded. Agreed that the Tree Committee together with Coun. J. Avery would meet on a Friday afternoon at 4.00 p.m. At this meeting spray paint would be made available to mark which trees required and the type of work i.e. pollarding, trimming or removal. Clerk to check diary and to arrange.
The fence was looked at and it was agreed that all the horizontal wood fencing be removed leaving the concrete posts in situ.
7. INSPECTION OF THE GLEBE FIELD
The Glebe Field was inspected and the following was noted:
- There was a lot of clutter and rubbish to the rear of the Sports Pavilion. There was a skip near the
equipment store. Clerk to write to Football Club and ask that they tidy it up.
- A lot of litter was noted in and amongst the new play area.
- There were two concrete posts that were laying on the field at the Guildhall Drive entrance to the field. Clerk to request that these be reinstated immediately to prevent vehicles accessing the field.
8. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
The following planning applications were recommended for approval:
H14-0815-16 – Cawood Lodge, Six House Bank – Proposed brick pillars and gates
H14-0811-16 – Hampson Car Hire, Bervor Close – Change of use from Distribution/Retail to MOT Repair workshop
H14-0816-16 – Elsoms Way – New car showroom
H14-0813-16 – Wardentree Lane – New car service centre
There was no further business before the meeting and it therefore concluded at 7.50 p.m.
