· 6,450,000 visits annually to our What’s On website[1]
· 43,000 subscribers receive our weekly newsletter[2]
Submit a business or event listing
Add a free listing on our website to be considered for promotion through our channels. Go to our website[3] to add a listing.
Submit your content
We like to promote things for people to see, do and experience in the city, so if you have something to share, submit your content.[4]
· Tell a story – why should people visit your business or event?
· Make it unique – what’s special about this particular product or event?
· Always include a great image – see our photo guidelines[5].
Join our seasonal campaigns
We run three promotional campaigns each year: summer, winter and Christmas. Local businesses and events are invited to submit content for inclusion through an expression of interest (EOI) process. Subscribe to the Business in Melbourne newsletter to be notified of EOIs[6].
Amplify your post
Our social hub is a real-time feed of what’s happening in the city. We share the latest posts from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in a single feed on our website, highlighting businesses and events within our municipality. To be featured, simply use #melbmoment in your posts. See our social hub[7].
How to be part of the social hub
· Step 1: Create your social media post in Facebook, Twitter or Instagram
· Step 2: Include a great image – showcasing your products or people enjoying your event. Don’t include text or branding on the images. See our photo guidelines[8].
· Step 3: Tag your post with #melbmoment to make sure we see your post and can promote it on our social hub. See some examples of what businesses have done at our social hub.[9]
