Commitment of at least one academic year required. Prefer someone who will be here again 2017-18.

A note on responsibilities and commitment

Arts & Sciences Career Development Centerdepends on student employees to supplement our advising staff and it is expected that volunteers fulfill their weekly advising commitment.

The required time commitment for the SCA program is:

  • 8-10 hours/week, Monday –Friday, between 9:00 am – 4:30 pm throughout the academic year.
  • 10-15 hours of paid training in August (Friday, 8/18–Monday, 8/21 before classes begin on Tuesday, 8/22).
  • Bi-weekly meetings during the fall semester; monthly meetings during spring.
  • Attendance at 3 regularly scheduled Career Services workshops after work hours, not including assignments outside of the office.
