Q. What is FASET?
A. FASET is a web-accessedasset tracking program for Fire Departments. It can help you meet all requirements of NFPA 1851, 2008 edition, for PPE, or just track selected information about your assets. Fire Departments can track the issue date, inspection date, condition, cleaning, repair and retirement of their PPE. In addition, this software also allows a user to track vehicles, hoses, ladders, SCBA, tools, and other small equipment.
Q. What type of software and security certification does LION have?
A. -LION is a Microsoft Gold Independent Software Vendor.
-Client data is transported securely between LION and client using SSL encryption protocols that encrypt the connections at the application and transport layer using asymmetric cryptography, symmetric encryption, and message authentication codes.
-Client data resides in the LION Data Center, built and maintained by LION, it is the only commercial Data Center in the world certified under the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) to provide hosting of multiple software solutions to the US Military.
-Our DIACAP environment includes a military-grade multi-tenant architecture that provides segregated and secure environment for each client’s data.
Q. How do I change my password?
A. After you log into FASET, click Utilities and select Change Password. From there, click on the Change Password link to change your password.

Q. Can I log into multiple computers with the same user name?
A. User names are not tied to a specific computer. However, the same user name cannot be logged in at 2 different locations at the same time.

Q. How is FASET accessed?
A. FASET can be accessed through any device with an active internet connection by visiting 1851software.com.
Q. What is the maximum number of records that I can add to FASET?
A. There is no restriction to the number of records that you can add.
Q. How do I change the values in my drop down boxes?
A. Click on the Utilities tab and select List Management. From here, you can add, edit, or delete the values in your drop down box.

Q. How often is FASET backed up?
A. FASET has a soft backup every night and a hard backup every weekend.
